Julie Anne MacKinney is a nurse paralegal with Armstrong Donohue Ceppos Vaughan & Rhoades, Chtd. Ms. MacKinney joined ADCV&R in 2018 after working in clinical risk management at a large medical center and as a pharmaceutical and medical malpractice paralegal at another defense firm.
Prior to that, Ms. MacKinney’s extensive and varied clinical experience included working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Duke University Medical Center and the Medical College of Virginia (now known as Virginia Commonwealth University). Later, she worked in Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care and Surgical Intensive Care Units before transitioning to work in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
Ms. MacKinney’s interest in the intersection between medicine and the law led her to become a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. She previously served on the Board of Directors for her local chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants for several years.
