ADCV&R Welcomes David J. Kimelman

David J. Kimelman joined ADCV&R in February 2026. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kimelman served as a legal fellow at a local nonprofit, where he worked on environmental litigation and regulatory enforcement. Before practicing law, Mr. Kimelman served as a senior legislative assistant in the United States House of Representatives, advising on appropriations, foreign affairs, civil rights, criminal justice, and environmental and energy policy. He then worked as a senior legislative manager for a national nonprofit, where he advocated for policies to support caregiving for people with disabilities and aging adults.

Mr. Kimelman received his undergraduate degree from the Syracuse University Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs in 2016 and his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2025. While in law school, Mr. Kimelman served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Loren L. AliKhan of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and held internships with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, the North Carolina Department of Justice Environmental Division, and the Southern Environmental Law Center. He also was a member of the Administrative Law Review and the Sustainable Development Law and Policy Brief, and participated in the Decarceration and Re-Entry Clinic.
