Ms. Mudd is a native Washingtonian.  She joined the firm in 2006 after completing a one-year clerkship for The Honorable Patrick L. Woodward of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.  Ms. Mudd was promoted to Partner in 2011, and Shareholder in 2014.

Since joining the firm, Ms. Mudd has litigated and tried medical malpractice, personal injury, and other cases in both state and federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.  In addition, she has briefed and argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, and the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. 

Ms. Mudd’s practice is also devoted to representing physicians, nurses, and other licensed professionals before professional licensing boards in Maryland and the District of Columbia.  In addition, she handles a variety of other civil litigation matters including, medical staff/credentialing revocations, contract/employment agreements and disputes, and appeals. 

In addition to working cases, Ms. Mudd regularly lectures to physicians, nurses, and other groups on risk management related issues.  She is also an Associate Professor on the Adjunct Faculty of the American University Washington College of Law.   

Ms. Mudd has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers – District of Columbia - Rising Stars, and Super Lawyers – Maryland - Rising Stars since 2013.

In her free time, Ms. Mudd enjoys hanging out with family, going to the beach, and taking ski trips.
