Alexandra Adkins is an Associate with Armstrong, Donohue, Ceppos, Vaughan & Rhoades. Her practice focuses on defending hospitals, physicians and other health care providers in medical malpractice cases. Ms. Adkins also handles a variety of other matters including personal injury claims, appeals and criminal defense. She has experience representing clients in bench trials and jury trials.

Ms. Adkins was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. While in law school, Ms. Adkins worked full-time at a boutique law firm where she performed extensive writing and legal research for complex appeals, post-trial motions, and other high profile matters in state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Court of Appeals of Maryland, and the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. During law school she also was a research assistant for Professor Byron L. Warnken and assisted with the completion of his three-volume treatise, Maryland Criminal Procedure. After law school, Ms. Adkins was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Marcus Z. Shar of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, Maryland.

Outside the office, Ms. Adkins is an avid gardener and outdoor enthusiast. In 2013, Ms. Adkins wrote a grant proposal and was awarded a $40,000 Watershed Assistance Planning Grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust for a community watershed restoration project in Howard County, Maryland. She managed the grant, navigated complex multi-level environmental regulations, and oversaw the successful development and permitting of engineered site plans. Ms. Adkins then worked with community partners and fundraised $230,000 to implement the plans. The watershed restoration project was completed in 2016.
