ADCVR attorneys Ben Vaughan and Kelly Hibbert obtained a defense verdict in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland. Plaintiffs alleged that an emergency room physician and an internal medicine physician breached the standard of care by failing to diagnose and treat hypertension in the emergency room and/or in an outpatient setting. Plaintiffs alleged that the patient would not have suffered an intracerebral hemorrhage and death had she been treated for hypertension. After a six-day trial, the jury found that the physicians complied with teh standards of care in their care and treatment of the patient.
