ADCVR attorneys, Ed Gonsalves and Benjamin Laufer, secured SUMMARY JUDGMENT on statute of limitations grounds on behalf of a physicians’ group in a medical malpractice action pending in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. The plaintiff had alleged that pathologists in the group breached applicable standards of care when rendering an intraoperative diagnosis of malignancy during a lung biopsy. However, the plaintiff’s claims were not timely filed, and the Court entered judgment in favor of the defendant in response to the defendant’s dispositive motion.
