ADCVR Senior Partner, Eric Rhoades, recently obtained a defense verdict in a medical negligence case that was tried in the United States District Court for Maryland (Baltimore). The Plaintiffs alleged that a gastroenterologist was negligent in failing to timely diagnose a superior mesenteric vein thrombosis leading to multiple surgical procedures. Following an eight-day trial, the jury delivered a defense verdict.

Plaintiffs asserted allegations of medical negligence and lack of informed consent.
