Andrew Marter Obtains Defense Verdict in Baltimore County Jury Trial

ADCVR attorney, Andrew Marter, recently obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a podiatric surgeon in a case alleging medical malpractice. The case was filed in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland. The plaintiff alleged permanent pain and deformity to her foot and toes following surgery performed by the defendant surgeon. Following a three day jury trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the surgeon.


Alex Adkins Obtains a Defense Verdict in Calvert County

ADCVR attorney, Alex Adkins, recently obtained a defense verdict in a premises liability case in the District Court for Calvert County, Maryland. The Plaintiff alleged that the hospital negligently failed to maintain a walkway in front of the facility. After a one day bench trial, the Court rendered a verdict against the Plaintiff and in favor of the hospital.


Erica Mudd and German Rodriguez Secure a Second Dismissal in Prince George's County

ADCVR attorneys, Erica Mudd and German Rodriguez, secured a second dismissal of an action on behalf of a health care provider defendant in a medical negligence case pending in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland. The Court granted the Defendant’s motion, and determined that Plaintiff’s claims were time-barred by the statute of limitations.

Julie Anne MacKinney, BSN, RN, CPHRM joined ADCV&R as a nurse paralegal in February 2018. Ms. MacKinney has 20+ years of experience as a critical care nurse, and she previously worked as a clinical risk manager for a large metropolitan medical center. She brings more than six years of experience as a legal nurse consultant to the firm.


Karen Ferretti Appointed to Bench

ADCV&R is proud to announce that our partner, Karen Ferretti, Esquire, has been appointed by Governor Hogan to fill a judicial vacancy on the District Court of Maryland for Montgomery County.


Ken Armstrong and Jeremy Krum Obtain a Defense Verdict in Howard County Circuit Court

ADCVR attorneys, Ken Armstrong and Jeremy Krum, recently obtained a defense verdict in a medical malpractice case in the Circuit Court for Howard County, Maryland. The plaintiff alleged a permanent phrenic nerve injury following an interscalene brachial plexus block. Following a six day jury trial, the jury found that the defendants complied with applicable standards of care and provided appropriate care and management to their patient.
