Mr. Maynard was born on September 26, 1962 in Washington, D.C. He moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1969.  He attended Georgetown University where he obtained a B.A. degree in 1984.  He obtained his law degree in 1987 from The Ohio State University College of Law.  

Mr. Maynard is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Maryland, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania.  He is also licensed in Federal Court in Maryland and Ohio. Mr. Maynard has practiced exclusively civil litigation, primarily in the area of medical malpractice. He has tried medical malpractice cases in Ohio, Maryland, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. His reported cases include Costell V. Toledo Hospital et al, and PICO v. Zornow.

Mr. Maynard lives in Mt. Airy, Maryland with his wife Michele and their son Colin.
